We know how frustrating it can be to go without your car, so we do our best to get you back on the road as soon as possible. This includes our free shuttle service! If you need a ride while we operate on your car, we can get you where you need to go anytime.
With today’s technology, vehicles are modern marvels that include digital dashboards, oxygen sensors, electronic computers, unibody construction and even more features. Cars last longer, run smoother and operate more efficiently than years before. But, when it comes to maintenance and repairs, some things never change. Keep these tips in mind to help you along the way with your vehicle.
Do your research before taking your vehicle in.

• Read the owner’s manual to investigate the car’s systems and components.
  
• Keep up with recommended service schedules.
  
• Record all maintenance repairs and services. Norm’s Car Care is also connected with CARFAX, so you can check your service records online.
  

Remember: You know your car better than anyone else. You see it every day, drive it consistently and spend the most time in it. You know how it feels when something isn’t working, so stay alert for warning signals. Use all of your senses to check for signs such as:

• Strange warning lights, sounds, smells, drips, leaks, smoke or gauge readings.
  
• Differences in acceleration, engine performance, gas mileage or fluid levels.
  
• Worn tires, belts or hoses.
  
• Issues with handling, braking, steering or vibrations.
  

When the problem happens, take notes:

• When did the issue first happen?
  
• Is it constant or sporadic?
  
• Does it occur when the vehicle is cold or after the engine has warmed up?
  
• Does the problem happen under acceleration, during braking, while shifting or at all speeds?

• Ask as many questions as you need to understand your repair. We can also communicate in layman’s terms if necessary.
  
• Try not to rush the technician to make a diagnosis on the spot. If the issue is serious, you may be called and notified of the problem, potential course of action and probable costs before work even begins.
  
• Be sure you understand all policies regarding labor rates, guarantees and payment methods.
